“Throughout our lives, change is one thing that we can come to expect. Regardless of whether the changes we endure are for better or worse, we can experience stress, anxiety, grief and conflict. The approaches that I will bring to your therapy, will support you in adapting to change so that you can reclaim your life and start on a path to experiencing more meaning and fulfillment.”

About My Practice:
I am a Registered Social Worker and psychotherapist with experience supporting adolescents and adults since 2013. I have advanced training and ongoing consultation in working with anxiety disorders, stress-related concerns, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and challenges related to emotion regulation.
My approach is grounded in well-researched therapies, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), mindfulness, and strength-based, client-centred care. I have specific experience using CBT and ERP to support individuals with anxiety and OCD, as well as DBT-based skills training to help individuals develop tools for emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness. My DBT experience also includes parent coaching to help caregivers better understand and respond to emotional and behavioural challenges. I have worked in hospital, community, and private practice settings.
In therapy, I aim to create a collaborative and respectful space where clients feel heard and supported. I also bring clinical expertise to help guide the work in a structured and thoughtful way. I am comfortable exploring how concerns affect the whole person — including the body, emotions, relationships, family life, work or school, and social environments — and supporting clients in navigating these impacts.
While therapy does not offer guarantees, my work is informed by evidence-based practices and tailored to each client’s goals and needs. I currently offer individual psychotherapy services.
Modes of Therapy:
Exposure and Response Prevention(ERP for OCD)
Assessment to map and target various OCD behaviours: includes identification of obsessions and compulsive behaviours to treat.
Collaborative development of a treatment plan which includes a plan of exposure to feared stimuli to support confidence in managing feared situations (including intrusive thoughts), with the intention of reducing the impact of OCD on daily life.
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
Raising awareness of Thoughts, Feelings and Behaviours so that we can understand how patterns of behaviour arise.
Focusing on thoughtful consideration of how our behaviours can result in undesirable outcomes, and subsequently finding strategies to break free from these patterns.
Improving Confidence and developing a stronger sense of meaning in life.
Mindfulness
Supports engagement with the present moment, to make more intentional decisions.
Awareness of our behaviours and aligning behaviours with value based decision making.
Reducing, stress, tension and anxiety
Encouraging acceptance and adapting to changes in life.
